Moissanite is a lab grown alternative diamond the sparkles as much as a diamond and is harder than diamonds. They have a Mohs hardness of 10 vs diamond of usually 9.5.

Melee size category stones are not engraved as the laser wouldn't be able to fit on the girdle. If you are concerned about verification, I can provide the CM number on the parcel inventory so you have some reference and can be tracked to the indicated mine.
